Moving on to a deeper exploration of Cape Cod, this past season I found myself engaged in an analytical and at times, slightly abstract study of the ocean. My fascination centered around the tides and the way the ocean evolves, moment by moment, within itself as evidenced by the ever changing waves and movement of the sea. I was equally intrigued by the patterns and designs it etched into the sands, beautiful and intricate. That force of nature, along with the shifting sky above as it's canopy, has become my "Permanent Waves" series - a work still in progress
